Counselling

Dr. Ean W. Burchell

I began my helping journey decades ago as a teacher, spending most of the past three decades at international schools. Living and working in diverse communities taught me the importance of culture in social-emotional health. At the same time, I came to understand how much we all have in common.
After a truly satisfying teaching career, I decided to deepen my ability to help others and completed School Counsellor qualifications with the Ontario College of Teachers, and later returned to full-time study in Counselling Psychology.
I integrate the best practices from a variety of counselling approaches to help you identify, understand, and re-shape your responses to challenging issues. My goal is not to ‘fix’ your problems, but to help you to empower yourself and lead a healthier, more satisfying life.
I am a member of the Thai Clinical Psychologists Association, the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists, and the Ontario College of Teachers.
